I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day. We had a blast over at my MIL’s.. Complete with our firework fun being brought to an abrupt halt by the Fire Marshal. BOOOOOO. Oh well what can you do when fireworks are illegal?..lol
Anyway I have been making cards again. I need to get cranking on some more and have them already made up. That way I am not scrambling to get them done when I need them and have no time. I hate feeling rushed. I also am getting ready to start working on a recipe swap for my COF group on my scrap site. I just have to narrow it down to which two recipes I want to use. That has been the hardest part for me. I need to start making up my mind quick though. Do not want to be the last person to get it done..lol

This one I used my new SU set called Indepedence Day sent to me by my SS. I love this set. So many things you can do with it.
This one I clear embossed the BG paper with all the names of Christ. I really like these brights together.
This idea of using ribbon to make words I got out of the SU catalog. I made this for my sweet niece. She loved it.

I got three needed cards complete yesterday!! The fact that every time I went to soak up some rays it would cloud over and then it started to storm like crazy helped with my accomplishing these three..lol Anyway here ya go:
Here is the one I made for my mom using a stamped image of Cakeabella sent to me by my dear friend Danni. She also sent me the brown liquid appliqué that I used to make the yummy fudge cake frosting. I used pink Cotton Candy Stickles to frost the pink part of her cake.
Danni also stamped out this Super Tyler image for me to color in with my watercolor pencils. I think he is the cutest!! This card is for my sweet nephew Caden.
last but not least I made this card for a friend and her hubby. Their anniversary is coming up. I used a transparency, Glossy accents on the hearts and Stickles on the wings. I also stamped flourished photo corners on the corners but it is hard to see in the pic. It did not want to photograph well because the transparency would throw off a huge glare.
I need to go find something to eat for lunch and plan out the meal I am taking to church group tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a great Sunday!!

I was so done with the week. I had to take some vacation time with my surgery so I only had one after and I took it like in March but it feels like a year ago. As of August of this year though.. I will have 4 weeks paid vacation!! I can NOT wait.
Anyway I got to sleep in a bit this morning compared to my daily routine. That is always nice. I think I am going to get on my suit and go soak up some sun… and relax.
I do plan to take it easy this weekend and get some scrapping done. I have two images colored and ready for me to design and create the card itself.
I will post them when I get them done… for now here is my latest card I did for a friends little boy who had an accident last week. He got hit in the eye by a stick that flew off the lawn mower blade while his daddy was mowing. Things got a little crazy for while because he had bleeding behind his pupil but he has healed up nicely. So I sent him some mail to make him smile. He is only 6…

I promised a few people that I would try really hard to start blogging again.
Don’t really feel like there is to much going on that would be super exciting to anyone else.
Gup and I started a life group at church and are meeting lots of new friends. There are 20 of us in the group. All couples except for one lady. It has been awesome. We are having a lot of fun with it and it is also a huge blessing in our spiritual walk as well. Just knowing that others are going through the same or very similar situations as you and that no one has it ” all together” is awesome.
We are still praying and trusting God for the perfect job for Guppy. I am praying huge.. praying he will get a very good job so I can be a SAHM/W. That would be awesome. I have worked non stop since I was 13 years old and a break is much needed I do believe. At this point I don’t care if I have to go build me a dirt hut..lol For my own sanity… I need a break. Especially from where I work now.
Um, let’s see… Today was parent teacher conferences.. all went well… Little one is doing great.
Tomorrow I go to the Dr. for an ultrasound of my abdomen.. He is making sure all is good from my surgery last year. Little one is off from school tomorrow because of continued parent teacher conferences..so we are going to go to my appointment and then go hit the zoo as a family. We usually go without her because we tend to have more fun then her.. last time we went she acted like the zoo bored her, but she asked to go this time.. Maybe she will have more fun, I hope.
Let’s see… we all watched Enchanted last night.. what a super cute movie!! I recommend it.
I need to get off here. get dinner ready, served and eaten and get cranking on some mother’s day cards.. It is almost here ya know!! I got an early mother’s day card that lil one made me at school. It was the sweetest card ever…telling me I was a good step mom. It most definitely put a big smile on my face.
